On Wednesday afternoon, a panel consisting of Prof. Ariel Caticha, Dr. John Skilling, and Prof. Jos Uffink, chaired by Dr. Adom Giffin, will discuss the Principle of Maximum Entropy.

In the first half hour, the panel discussants will offer their thoughts on the following three questions:

1) Expectation values: How do we get expectation values to be used in a practical problem? Do we observe them? If not, how are they attained?
2) Is MaxEnt and Bayes compatible at any level. If so, how? If not, why not? Priors?
3) What is the future of MaxEnt? Failures, successes, opportunities for future research?

In the second half hour, the discussion will be opened to the audience.
